MoneyJay – Practical financial advice for Canadians.

Who is MoneyJay and why Canadians need real practical financial advice now more then ever.

Have you tried to get your finances in order and failed? Feeling demoralized? Tired to seeing advice telling to you to commit to extreme austerity measures, such as “no more lattes”?

People don’t like budgets, people don’t hate austerity measures and committing to such extreme measures only leads to failed commitments, leaving you feel like a failure.

So what’s the answer? Financial security is important, when financial security is achieved, anxiety is relieved. Life events (divorce, job loss, etc) and emergencies will happen, but with financial independence, you can say with confidence you’re in a position to handle life. With the craziness that is the COVID pandemic, it has been proven that life throws us curve balls.

Let’s get real! I’m going to blog, giving real practical advice. I’m going to discuss how to get your personal finances in order, without committing to severe austerity measures, because a life without a meal out or a yummy latte, is a crummy life :)! I’m going to give practical advice without forcing us to commit to the tedious task of extreme budgeting or ridiculous itemized expense tracking (full disclosure you’ll have to do it once :)).

My posts will always offer no BS advice. I may link to some of my preferred resources, my advice will always be upfront and biased. My blogs will be on a no frills, free to host platform – hence my minimalistic wordpress blog site….”all killer, no filler :)”
